The Self-Rating & Self-Downing Catcher is a method by which we can see that our selves are separate from our behaviors and traits, accept ourselves, and treat ourselves in loving and caring ways.

Steps to The Self-Rating & Self-Downing Catcher


1. Relax, do left nasal dominance breathing, state the phrase aloud: "I am a multi-faceted person with positive, neutral, negative behaviors and traits": Allow yourself to relax, pinch your right nostril shut while you take 12 deep and full inhalations and exhalations through your left nostril only. Then state aloud: "I am a multi-faceted person with positive, neutral, and negative behaviors and traits." This statement is to bring up any feelings and thoughts you have to the contrary. Jot them down any doubts, counter beliefs, counter intentions that arise. Jot them down and integrate them.

2. State the phrase aloud, "My self is separate from my behaviors and traits":
Make the statement "My self is separate from my traits and behaviors." This statement is to bring up any feelings and thoughts you have to the contrary. Any doubts, counter beliefs, counter intentions. Jot them down. These can be integrated.

3.  State the phrase aloud, "I accept myself regardless of how I rate my behaviors and traits":
"I accept myself regardless of how I rate my behaviors & traits. " This statement is to bring up any feelings and thoughts you have to the contrary. Any doubts, counter beliefs, counter intentions. Jot them down. These can be integrated.

4. State the phrase, "I treat myself in a caring and loving way":
"I treat myself in caring and loving ways." This statement is to bring up any feelings and thoughts you have to the contrary. Any doubts, counter beliefs, counter intentions. Jot them down. These can be integrated.
